Weather hits football
10:07am Monday 6th February 2012
Adverse weather conditions wiped out the local soccer programme at the weekend and with no rugby action because of the start of the Six-Nations Championship it really was a bleak picture.
The MacWhirter Welsh League Division Two game between Croesyceiliog and Newcastle Emlyn was wiped out as were the three J Emrys Morgan Cup quarter-final ties involving Maesglas, New Quay, St Dogmaels and Pencader. Also victims of the weather were three Costcutter League division one games, six in the second division and three Reserves Cup games.
